When they all got back to the house, Jon sat down in the love seat, determined to make that his favorite sweet spot. He looked at Bruce and Jeffrey, amused. Jeffrey was doing his level best not to help Bruce as he edged his way to the couch and pushed himself onto the seat, his strong arms shivering. He shook his head a little.

He knows--he knows Bruce has to do it himself, but damned if he’s not wanting to go in there and rescue his man with every fiber of his being--

“What are you smiling at, Jon?” Bruce said, wearing his own smile.

He blinked, getting a grin on his face.

“I was just watching you two together.”

Jeffrey leaned down and gave Bruce a sweet kiss.

“But it‘s so easy with a hot man like I‘ve got,” Jeffrey said.

“You‘re making me blush,” Bruce chuckled.

“I wish you could have been at the wedding, Jon,” he said.

A light came in his eyes then.

“How about the video?” he said to Jeffrey.

“But do we really want to turn into one of those couples that inflicts all their videos on their friends, love?”

Jon shook his head.

“I’d love to see it,” he said.

Smiling, Jeffrey got the remote and started queing up the video.

“Any excuse to watch it is a good one for me.”

“Me too,” Bruce said. “The only thing is, it might put us in the mood, but we’ll control ourselves until tonight. Break out those headphones, Jon.”

Jon threw back his head and laughed out loud at that one.

“All right! You betcha.” He looked at Bruce.

“Those techs and the owner of the company at the lab were doing some serious bowing and scraping, Bruce. Your friends must have friends in high places.

Bruce nodded.

“They ARE the high places, Jon,“ he said. “I wouldn’t be surprised if our friends bought the company just so they could throw their weight around.”

“Will I ever get to meet them?

Jeffrey plopped himself down beside Bruce, remote in hand.

“They--live overseas, but maybe we’ll Skype them one day. I’ll ask them first,” Jeffrey said. “They’re pretty private people.”

Jon nodded.

“Sounds good.”

They all looked up at the sound of the door chime.

“Now who’s that? I wasn’t expecting anyone,” Jeffrey said. “Were you, love?”

“No, not today.”

Jon jumped up, heading toward the door.

“I’ll get it.”

He opened the door slowly.

“Yes?” Jon recognized them then.

“Hi, Jon, are the doctors Bayfield in?”

“Larry--Evelyn!” He turned to Bruce and Jeffrey.

“It’s your favorite reporters, guys.” He opened the door wider.

“Come on in.”

“To what do we owe the pleasure of this visit? We haven’t seen you since we did the interview,” Bruce said.

Evelyn came over to Bruce, handing him a magazine.

“We thought we’d show you the magazine before it came out on the stands Tuesday.”

“Look at the cover,” Larry said, grinning.

Jon came over to stand by them, craning his neck to look over their shoulders--

--looking at a full color picture of Jeffrey standing by Bruce in his wheelchair with his hand on his shoulder, both smiling, while they looked at each other in all their studly glory, the
